I believe that you are either born with confidence or you learn it.
For me confidence comes from within (wether you are born with it or not).
Believing in yourself and having the faith that you can do whatever you set out to do. THAT spells confidence.
On a smaller scale everyday activities that require us to walk a little taller, speak a little louder and simply appear confident, don't necessarily require that "dig deep and find your inner-self" confidence. I believe that comes from how you present yourself. After-all how you present yourself is how you are treated.
My everyday confidence comes from my self presentation; how I dress, how I speak and my ability to always present my authentic self to others. I work in a corporate environment where all the ladies are always dressed to the corporate nines! Their appearance definitely encourages me everyday to be my best self. With that, I am sharing with you one of many ways in which I help my self-confidence on a daily basis.
Last week I shared a video on my Youtube Channel (watch and subscribe here) of my everyday make-up look.
This look is very fast and simple. The only thing that ever changes are the products used. Below are the products I use to achieve a very natural and simple everyday look for work.
This quickly became my favorite everyday foundation because not only is it a great color match for my warm, deep dark and oily skin tone, it is also very long wearing with a great finish. One pump is great for medium coverage for my skin however two will get the job done for me. Covering all my acne scars and uneven skin.
Have you tried this yet? What are your thoughts?
I use the cocao because it was the closet to my skin tone while still looking luminous and awake. I love the smooth and pore-less finish of this and it also is very long wearing through, oil sweat and tears. It conceals my sleepless under-eye bags perfectly.
I am still relatively new to contouring. During one of Sephora trips one associate suggested I try this Bobbi Brown eyeshadow in dark plum and I've been pretty happy with the results so far. Although it is an eye shadow, when blended well, can double up as a hint of blush / contour for your face.
Definitely a sample goodie. Two coats of this provides great length and a little volume for flirty lashes without the hassle of fake lashes.
Although I own the Anastasia dip brow pomade, this is my everyday go-to because it tames my unruly brows it keeps my routine fast and efficient. The color is great and because it is long wearing, I don't have to worry about my brow fill-ins washing down my face by days-end. This is the color brown.
Lastly, my current favorite lipstick of all time (Sorry Milani). This is Bobbi Brown in Cocoa. I have very pigmented lips so it is quite difficult to come across browns / nudes that don't flush into my skin. This lipstick has the best undertones keeping your lips neutral with a hint of red.
Be sure to check out my video here to see how I use these products everyday.
